Rootella® L is the industry’s most highly concentrated mycorrhizal inoculant, delivering 50, 400 viable spores per milliliter—the highest spore concentration available on the market today. As the first professional liquid seed treatment solution, Rootella® L sets a new standard in biological soil enhancement, ensuring superior root colonization and optimal plant performance.
Minimum application rate: 15ml/ hectares
Application Formula
The formula below is to achieve an optimal application rate of your specific Rootella® product, culculating minimum viable spores needed of your product per seed/crop/tree - per ha block is important. Follow the guidelines carefully.
Follow these guidelines to achieve your optimal application rate per seed/plant/tree per ha block
-
Rootella® L – has 50,400 spores per ml.
-
A hectare block will be sowed with 20,000 seeds of maize. (In this example).
-
Because the number of seeds is minimal, 20,000 the row spacing will be bigger, we will apply a higher rate of Rootella® F.
-
For example, let’s say we decide to go with 100 spores per seed, the total amount of spores required per ha block would be 100 spores x 20,000 seeds which gives us 2,000,000 million spores per ha block
-
We then take the number of spores per gram of Rootella® F which is 6,300 spores/g and divide it by the total amount of spores needed per ha block to get the correct application rate of product per ha. Which will be 2,000,000 Million spores divided by 6,300 spores/g, which gives us 317.460317g of Rootella® F per ha.
-
Contingent on the farmers budget and the minimum viable spore rate per seed or crop, you can reduce the rate accordingly by adjusting the number of spores needed per seed/crop/tree.
-
Rootella® L – has 50,400 spores per ml. A professional seed-treatment product and in-furrow and in-drip application
-
Rootella® T – is quite simple and very easy to apply, just throw 1-2 grow bags in the planting hole per rootstock/tree. Our (permanent row crop /tree product).
Minimum viable spores needed per seed/crop/tree. Multiplied by the amount of the total seed/crop/tree per ha block, to give you total spores needed per ha. Depending on the Rootella product you are using, work out the number of spores per ml/g in that specific product and divide the number of total spores per ml/g in that specific rootella product by the total spores needed per ha block to get your exact application rate needed per ha, providing you with the accurate number of viable spores needed per seed/crop/tree per ha block.
-
Row spacing can affect application rates per seed/crop/tree.
-
Type of crop can affect application rates per seed/crop /tree.
-
How you apply the product can affect application rates.
-
Please note you can look at our compatibility tool to see if your fungicides, insecticides, pesticides and your other inputs will affect the mycorrhizae spore viability.
This is why spores and species matter; lower concentrated products will not have the concentrations needed to insure a fast edective inoculation. 95% Of all species are either soil specific or crop specific or both. Rootella products are compatible with 95% of all crop and soil types. Rootella products are also compatible with glyphosates and allow you to reduce phosphorus by up to 50%. In fact we encourage it.
